Sweet And Delicious Nectar

As part of our effort to build a completely sustainable farm, we have our own group of pollinators - honey bees.  We have several hives on the farm.  Throughout the summer, the bees are busy pollenating our fruit trees and in the process making the most delicious honey you have ever tasted.  Because the bees are nested among over 50 apple trees, we get mostly apple blossum honey.

We use honey for many things at Podere di Melo: baking, cooking (honey-roasted anything tastes wonderful), and as a sweetner for tea.  If we really feel decadent, we just eat it off the comb!

Our honey is available starting in August.  We sell it by the comb or in bottles.  All our honey is unfiltered and unmodified in any way.  We follow the Certified Naturally Grown guidelines for honey production and never use harsh chemicals on the hives.
